Our founder

I was born in Peru, in a country where nature is part of daily life. Between the Pacific Ocean, the Andes, and the Amazon, plants, fruits, and natural ingredients have always been used to take care of the body and well-being. In my family, as in many Peruvian families, these simple practices were naturally part of our daily lives.

In 2007, life brought me to Quebec. A few years later, I started suffering from adult acne. I tried several products and treatments, but nothing seemed to truly help my skin.

That's when I started looking for solutions on my own. While exploring different resources, I came across a video of a woman sharing homemade recipes for the skin using vegetable oils. Out of curiosity, I tried one of these recipes... and little by little, my skin began to improve.

This experience was a real revelation. I became passionate about vegetable oils, plants, and natural ingredients. As I delved deeper into my research, I realized that several plants, fruits, and seeds that I knew very well in Peru — because we eat them or have always used them — also existed in the form of botanical oils with extraordinary properties for the skin.

Driven by this discovery, I returned to Peru to explore them at their source. I brought some back to Quebec and started making my own trials and formulations. The results were surprising and deeply inspiring.

That's when the idea was born: to introduce these precious oils and their benefits here, in Quebec.

In 2016, RUNAK was born, driven by the desire to share Peru's botanical richness and a simpler, more conscious, and more natural approach to skincare.

Today, RUNAK is an invitation to return to essentials — to care for your skin with pure ingredients, inspired by the wisdom of plants and a deep respect for nature.
